About the Event

Fibromyalgia Pathways has partnered with the national organization National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association, a non-profit organization supporting those with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain illnesses.    This is a great organization that is working with local businesses and organizations to raise awareness and funds for integrative treatments and to educate our community on this illness.

Please join us at the State Capitol on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9:30 am to walk together to show our community that we are strong, determined, deserve their respect and understanding.  Look for more details as we get closer to this special event.

About the Organizers

My name is Terry McSweeney, leader and organizer of the Sacramento Fibromyalgia Awareness Walk.  I also am a very proud “fibromyalgia warrior” who has learned to be my own best advocate taking control of my own medical care.  I have become a fibromyalgia adviser and lead the Sacramento Support Group.  My goal by leading this walk, raising awareness and funds is to educate and raise funds so that more people across our country can learn to be their own best self-advocates.

My co-chair is Martha Aranda who also is a “fibromyalgia warrior.”  Together with all of our walkers in 2018 we raised in cash and in-kind donations nearly $6500.  Please help us exceed that in 2019.
